What Should I Buy In Japan?

Hey Folks - I’m in Japan for the next few weeks and I just wondered if anyone has any suggestions for any bits of DJ related paraphernalia or technology that I can pick up there which is either unavailable in the UK/EU or is significantly cheaper in Japan.

I’m not in the market for an ARS mixer sadly so budget wise I’m looking at 1-200 quid per item ideally. I can’t go crazy as I’ve already done in a lot since I got here but I’m thinking perhaps some turntable weights or something like that.

I was even looking at buying a second set of the Nagaoka DJ-44G needles as they are about 15 quid cheaper here than in the UK but it’s kind of dead money I guess and I’ve just bought a pair off Juno so I doubt I will need them for a couple of years hopefully.

Any suggestions/thoughts? I’ve only brought one suitcase (and can have up to 3 with my flight) so I guess there’s always the option of buying loads of records but I’ve kind of embargoed myself for a while as I went a bit crazy back in the UK and have bought so many that I literally don’t know what any of them are like unless I put them on.

I was there about 14 years ago and there was a sort of vending machine corner shops selling very live, very cute puppies and kittens just behind Shibuya crossing…at 1 am… I think. Not suggesting you get one but plenty of folk were…I think… realise this isn’t helpful
