HELP! Classic DJH forum discoveries from BITD

Just remembered a biggie:
HUBBABUBBAKLUBB - Mopedbart.

Plenty of people thought it was crap, mind, but that sums up the DJH board to a tee :joy:

I think out of all of these fine suggestions, Phill & Friends Band is peak DJH. No one knew what it was. Everyone had a tape and was asking everyone else, WHAT IS THIS?! Diesel played it over the phone for me, Do you know it? Balearic Mike was desperate. It all seems quite quaint now with Shazam and everything.

I remember “Free” by Eden being a big mystery on the 'Spotting thread and a lot of excitement when it was ID’d.

Hi, do you have Full Hollow Ground Collection EP 7

I’m really curious to hear the edit of Stranglehold? is it any good ?

Personally, I don’t rate it. I’d be interested to hear what you think (see the link below), but the least interesting thing for me about Stranglehold is Ted and his guitar strangling, and that’s what the re-edit is built around. The spacey groove which makes the last 2/3rds of the track so compelling remains largely sidelined. The whole edit can be heard from 6.25 through to 13.45 on this mix

Thanks man!

Am I being really dumb or is the mix not showing?

It’s a link to a mix on mixcloud, I can see it in my post and the link plays for me, but I’ll try again  :crossed_fingers:

A lot of the excitement and hype came from mixes unearthed and rare tracks posted up on blogs.
I distinctly remember a mahusive amount of fuss (justifiably so) over the Mark Seven Stop Don’t Stop mix which shed light on many a disco bomb, this one included
