Hey everyone! Missed the first DJH forum but glad to make this one. Disco tragic living in Whitstable. One half of Campari Safari. Loyal ALFOS cadet. Vinyl hoarder. Red lights, basements and feelings! X
Hola everyone, lovely to be back. The main difference now is two kids and a head full of “stuff”. Lovely to see lots of familiar names. No new vinyl but the music enthusiasm remains just as acute. Living in the west now so music mainly happens in Bristol for me, which is great.
Hi All
Coming over from Test Pressing reading and listening to a frankly overwhelming amount music links on there with the occasional trip to Ban Ban Ton Ton. Both have some exceptional writing, I struggle to get the time.
Often on the fringe of the dance scenes, disagreeable creator of the technical side of small dance event productions. I try to create those moments of magic on the dance floor via the medium of found records. I’m a sound system (now it’s fashionable to be a sound system, I guess?)
I used to see the Supreme leader occasionally very early in the mornings on the odd occasion I wasn’t on my knees (this would be 10 plus years ago). You don’t speak to royalty unless spoken to, so I didn’t.
Hopefully I got the best black discs before him.
The digging has started again so I list them on ‘Hauls found today’ on TP which may have a been thread on DJH or I may have dreamt the whole bloody thing.
And I’m not on anything since euphoric Handbag house in the early nineties. Got to be sharp as pin in my job.
Would like to start writing some stories and articles along the way, It’s been the toughest year of my life and would like to some co conspirators going foward.
Oh, this book changed/ruined my life. Thanks, I should buy the new edition
Dear me, I even have my old user name. Hello again, everybody!
Welcome back. Used to post a bit on the old DJH forum. semi-regular lowlifer, living in se ldn and occasionally post on test pressing.
Stopped buying house music and now into country and Japanese ambient music

Well hello again! Great to have DJ History back from the history books
Emlyn xx
Hello. I’m Joe. I’m from Worcester, where the sauce is from. I’m on too little sleep.
Oh hello!
Previous occasional poster and longtime lurker of the old DJH. Still spend my (increasingly rare) time on music stuff. But tend to be bandcamp and discogs these days rather than Vinyl Junkies or Phonica. Biggest difference between then and now is that I got with the kids and went digital - got myself a pair of CDJ 1000s mk3 a few years back ! and have a better selection of lighting effects in my music room
Good to be back !
greetings!
been sewing badges on my jacket over in the TP forum this past year, and feel richer (and poorer) for it. looking forward to more of the same here!
Great to be back! Which intrepid poster will restart the 'Spotting thread?
Only lurked on here in the past but was on Faith and currently making an arse of myself Twitter. Despise algorithms and the culture wars so really hope this works out.
Hobbyist producer and happiest moment was having an edit played out at a few Lowlife dos.
There’s life in the old dog yet then! A welcome and overdue revival. I’m an old time DJH lurker, was Macca on Faith, AndyM on Test Pressing. From Liverpool, lived in London for many years and now living in Zimbabwe with occasional forays back to Britain for records, nights out and football.
morning all, Chris from Worcestershire here, same handle as before, will try not to lurk as much this time
Great to have you back!
Neither can I TBH, we’ve been terrible ever since
Hi Jason
Hope your well, saw some of his photo’s from his arrival not jealous one bit
Can’t remember if it was Supreme Leader or shambling around Bandcamp that lead me to your last couple of lots of tracks, but I enjoyed them tremendously.
DJH virgin. Regular attender of Portman Road. Sporadic attender of Low Lifes. Too lazy to be a crate-digger, but happy to greedily snaffle up the spoils of others’ wisdom and intrepid adventures - like Belloq in Raiders of the Lost Ark - although not on behalf on Nazis.
Hello. it’s Dean, Geordie in exile and relentless promoter of music for dancing, and I’m delighted to be here.
