Hi there, it’s been a while. Good to be back!
Glad to see the forums coming back - we all left when social came along and look how that turned out!
Used to be Steely, mostly lurking on DJH and talking shite on Faith. Good to see some familiar names on here already…
Hey Louis - good to see you on here.
Wow EVERYONES coming back. Hello Slobodan!
Welcome back Slobodan!
Hola all. Long time DJH lurker and fan boy - very glad it’s back - well done Bill & Frank. Occasional low lifer and purveyor of badly mixed tunes.
Ciao Brka, how’s it going? ![]()
I used to play at the Bernard Shaw regularly yeah and ran some occasional nights there. But mostly I was doing stuff at the Twisted Pepper (now Wigwam). I worked for Bodytonic the company who own both. Amazing how quickly you turn into the old guy talking about back in the day
likewise @johnnettles ![]()
I wonder is there much of the Irish contingent back here?
Former lurker, originally from Warrington via Japan, that London and since 2016, Singapore.
Somewhere between Soul, Synths and linen clad Balearica these days.
Great to be back.
Yeah I knew the name was familiar. I had a show on PowerFM at the time and we had our station based in the Shaw for a while. Great to see you are here!!
Heavy Lurker, and a light poster on the old site, was in London, now down in Rye, with twin boys which I didn’t have last time around.
Lovely to see some old handles, and look forward to listening to lots of great music, and hopefully getting a bit more involved this time around.
Strobe light serenader and master of the deep eq xxx hey babes xx
I remember the power fm studio up there alright, I did a few sets / shows on it
Such a pity the OG Shaw shut down in the end, it did get a good run at least
It was a really lovely vibe to it and one of my abiding memories as I went in to my show (I did the Philosphy of Sound show on a Thursday with Kathy Gleeson) was the smell of the fresh mint being cut by the Bar Staff for all the mojitos they would sell that night!!! Good times!
Been around but more interested in looking forward than all misty eyed into the rear view mirror, so it’s debatable if I’m in the right place ![]()
I run a recommendation blog & socials dispensing a daily music tip focussing on generally chilled, more obscure but hopefully still listenable, new releases mostly from lesser known independent artists. There’s a monthly radio show, cherry picked playlists & I also run the world’s best record label.
Always enjoy your Bandcamp recommendations ![]()
Are you still a Notts man? Loved your Neon Heights stuff, some absolute crackers.
Am I dreaming?
Hello, I’m Justin (Chodzko). Veteran Beard Scientist. Since we last spoke I had a couple of labels which Covid put on hold: Talahachi and Narrow Gauge. Currently mainly doing visual art and adopting elderly cats.
Hiya,
