Fast, slow, in between. Share your fave tunes that have arpeggiated synth lines that take listeners into outer space!!
Here’s a new one from Solomun……
Save A Prayer is an all time fave of mine from that era
On a lot of early Larry Heard tracks he used the arrpegiator on his Roland Juno 6 for basslines, but with the notes triggered with a signal from a drum machine, so it wasn’t just pulsing on the clock.
But then on some, like Distant Planet, he played the bassline live the whole way through. That’s dedication.
Pretty much anything Moroder ever touched…
(Also technically there’s a difference between arpeggiated and sequenced lines but let’s not go there…)
two come to mind!
Kaidi & Dego - Black Is Key (3:30 in)
Stefan Ringer - S.O (about 4:40 in starts to get his freak on with the resonance, envelope etc…))
Ron Trent. Originally released with the artist name Nagual on this EP:

Bit more modern, but I genuinely love this - Jas Shaw from Simian and Golden Panda.
Though I do wish there was a point it resolved and the drums kicked off.
